Design that begins with what we do best
Most interior design in Singapore treats custom furniture as the last step. We do it the other way round. Custom cabinetry — the kitchen, wardrobes, feature walls, vanities and storage that shape how a home actually works — is our core craft. So we design the whole home around it, then coordinate the base renovation to match. The result is a home where the joinery, layout and finishes are planned as one, not stitched together at the end.
The carpentry leads, and the rest of the renovation is planned around it: hacking, masonry and tiling, plumbing and electrical, ceiling and painting, through to the soft furnishing on the day you move in. Our own project manager follows the site from the first day to handover, and our carpentry and masonry craftsmen are members of that team.

Every renovation company in Singapore says it is transparent. The word costs nothing to say, so it tells you nothing. What is worth asking is a narrower question: what exactly is the price attached to? Ours is attached to a drawing you have already seen and signed off.
Priced to the drawing
Nothing is quoted before it is drawn. Every line on your quotation can be traced back to the drawing it came from, which also means you can check it.
Built to the drawing
The site builds from the same drawings you approved, under our own project manager. Changes go through a revised drawing and an adjusted contract before the work happens.
Checked against the drawing
Work is accepted against the drawings it was priced from. Handover is a comparison against a document, not a conversation about what everyone remembers agreeing.
There are no hidden line items, because a hidden line item has nowhere to hide once the drawings exist first. That is the whole mechanism — not a promise about our character, but a sequence that makes the promise checkable.
The quotation comes last, not first
Ask most renovation firms for a price and you will have one within a day, after a twenty-minute walkthrough in which nothing was measured and nothing was drawn. That number is free because it commits to nothing. The distance between it and your final bill gets filled in later, one verbal addition at a time.
We run the sequence the other way round: design it, draw it, confirm it — and only then price it.
Your requirements, then a layout plan
We start with how the home is actually used — who lives there, what gets stored, how you cook, where the light is. The first thing you receive is a layout plan: walls, openings, circulation and where each piece of carpentry will sit.
Whole-home design, rendered room by room
Each room is then designed and modelled in 3D using the board decors, hardware and dimensions specified for your home. You confirm the style and the furniture at this stage — while changing them still costs nothing.

Electrical, plumbing and ceiling drawings
With the style and furniture confirmed, we draw the services: power and water points positioned against the carpentry that is actually going in, and ceiling construction drawings for the trades to build from.
Structural CAD for the custom furniture
The carpentry is then drawn as a structure rather than a picture — carcass construction, panel sizes, hardware positions. This is what the factory cuts from, and it is why two identical doors come back identical.
Interface details where carpentry meets the base works
We also draw the junctions: where cabinetry meets tiled walls, where a wardrobe meets the ceiling, where a worktop meets the splashback. These are the details that decide whether finished carpentry sits flush or sits proud, and they are settled on paper rather than discovered on installation day.
Only then, a detailed base renovation quotation
The base works are priced against every drawing above, line by line. Because the drawings already exist, there is very little left for a mid-project addition to be discovered in — which is the point of sequencing it this way.
Built to the drawing, checked against the drawing
Each trade is scheduled with dates. Our own project manager supervises progress and quality, and work is accepted against the drawings it was priced from — not against a recollection of what was agreed.
And when something changes on site
Things do change during a renovation. What matters is how the change is handled. On most sites it is handled verbally — agreed in a corridor, remembered differently by each side, and settled at the end when the final bill arrives.
Every variation goes through that sequence before the work is done. Nothing is agreed by word of mouth and priced afterwards.
Why the drawings go that deep
A drawing set like the one above is not produced by one person being conscientious. It is produced because three different specialists work on every project, each drawing the part they actually know. Most renovation projects in Singapore are run by a single designer covering all three.
Whole-home designer
Owns the layout, circulation and style direction, and the 3D model every other drawing is checked against.
Carpentry detailing designer
Turns the design into structural CAD the factory can cut from, and draws the junctions where carpentry meets the base works.
Soft furnishing designer
Specifies sofa, dining, curtains, lighting and decorative pieces against the same model, so the finished room matches the render it was sold from.

Every room is modelled in 3D before anything is ordered, using the board finishes, hardware and dimensions actually specified for your home rather than generic stand-ins. You look at your kitchen, your wardrobe wall and your living room while changing them still costs nothing.
A drawing is not a picture
Drawings tell the site where things go. They do not tell you whether you will like the result. We produce both, and you sign off on both.
Your finishes, not a template
The model uses the board decors, hardware and dimensions selected for your project, so what you are judging is your home and not a showroom render.
Changes are free here
Moving a wardrobe wall in the model costs nothing. Moving it after the carcass is cut costs real money. This is the stage to be fussy.

European materials, our own craftsmen
Custom furniture is the core of a renovation — it is what you touch every day and the thing most likely to disappoint a year later. We came into whole-home renovation from that core outwards, which is why the two trades we refuse to hand off are the two that decide how a finished home actually looks.
European boards and hardware
Our whole-home carpentry has moved to European board throughout — EGGER and CLEAF decors with BLUM hardware, at F★★★★ emission grade. The material specification is written into your quotation, not left as “or equivalent”.
Made in a factory, not improvised on site
Panels are cut and laser edge-banded on factory machinery to a drawing, then assembled here. Edges come back sealed with no visible glue line, and two identical doors are actually identical.
Our own carpentry installers
Installation is handled by our own experienced craftsmen, not a crew booked for the week. They read the real wall and floor conditions, and they answer to the same project manager who drew the schedule.
Our own tilers
Tiling is usually the largest single line in a Singapore renovation, and the one where the finished result varies most from crew to crew. Ours are our own experienced tilers, working to the same drawings and the same supervision as everything else.

Before you choose a renovation partner
What does transparent renovation actually mean here?
It means the price is attached to a drawing. Nothing is quoted before it is drawn, the site builds from the drawings you approved, and the work is accepted against those same drawings at handover. Any variation goes through a revised drawing and an adjusted contract before it is carried out, so there is no separate list of extras settled at the end.
How many designers work on my project?
Three. A whole-home designer owns the layout, style and 3D model; a carpentry detailing designer produces the structural CAD and the junction details where carpentry meets the base works; and a soft furnishing designer specifies the sofa, dining, curtains, lighting and decorative pieces against the same model.
Does CASAWAVE handle the base renovation as well as the custom furniture?
Yes. The scope covers hacking, masonry and tiling, plumbing and electrical, ceiling and painting alongside the custom carpentry, through to soft furnishing at handover. Our carpentry and masonry craftsmen are members of our own team, and our own project manager follows site progress and quality from the first day to handover.
When do I get a price?
After your home has been measured and the design has been confirmed. We do not price a renovation off a walkthrough. Once the layout, drawings and 3D are signed off, the work is quoted line by line against that confirmed design, with custom furniture and base renovation quoted separately.
What happens if something changes once work has started?
The drawing is revised, the contract is adjusted, you confirm it, and only then is the cost fixed and the work carried out. Variations are never agreed verbally on site and priced afterwards.
What drawings are produced?
Electrical and plumbing drawings, ceiling plans and flooring layouts, plus a 3D model of every room. They are confirmed with you before any material is ordered, and the site builds from them. They are part of the service rather than a chargeable extra.
Can you handle the furniture and styling as well?
Yes. Sofa, dining table, curtains, lighting and decorative pieces can be specified and installed as part of the same project, selected against the same 3D model used for the rest of the home, so the finished room matches the design it was chosen from.
